Dr. Lisa M. Chaiken is a board certified specialist in Radiation Oncology and a member of Cancer Care Consultants Medical Associates. Her practice is based at the Santa Monica Cancer Treatment Center and at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Inglewood, California. Dr. Chaiken is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine, and has been an attending staff member at the UCLA Multi-disciplinary Breast Clinic.

Dr. Chaiken received her undergraduate degree in History and Science from Harvard University where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with an emphasis in biological sciences, medical ethics, and the history of medicine. After receiving her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, she continued her residency training in the UCLA Radiation Oncology program where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Chaiken has been involved in many aspects of clinical treatment with special interests in breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer. She has presented at multi-disciplinary conferences on the topics of head and neck tumors and breast cancer. Her research on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in radiation oncology patients received the Residents Essay Award of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Chaiken is active in community-based health care programs, often affiliated with the American Cancer Society and the Women of Color Breast Cancer Support Group. She is chair of the Los Angeles Radiological Society's Mid-Winter Conference and serves on the Executive Board of the American Cancer Society. Dr. Chaiken is the Radiation Safety Officer for Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center, and chairs the Radiation Safety Committee at Centinela Freeman Memorial Hospital and Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center. In recognition of her distinguished service, Dr. Chaiken was voted by her peers to be included in Best Doctors in America.
