Dr. David Huang is a board certified Radiation Oncologist with broad clinical expertise in the treatment of a wide range of cancers. He has expertise in Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Lose Dose Rate brachytherapy (seed implants for prostate cancer), and High Dose Rate brachytherapy (for prostate cancer, breast cancer, and gynecological cancers).
Dr. Huang received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology. He received his Medical Degree from Loyola University Chicago. He began his post-graduate training as an intern in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and subsequently completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Huang went on to UC San Francisco where he completed a fellowship in Central Nervous System Radiation Oncology and served as a Clinical Instructor.
His primary facility has been Good Samaritan Hospital, where he has helped to run the longest running Gamma Knife radiosurgery program on the West Coast. He has also helped to open the Gamma Knife program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. He has some of the most extensive experience in stereotactic radiosurgery in Southern California.
Dr. Huang is currently the Medical Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Gamma Knife program at Good Samaritan Hospital. In recognition of his outstanding clinical performance, Dr. Huang has been selected by his peers to be included in Best Doctors in America. |
