Micki Ko, M.D.

Dr. Mi Kyung (Micki) Ko is a board certified specialist in Radiation Oncology and has been a member of Cancer Care Consultants Medical Associates since 2009. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Anthropology. She wrote her honors thesis on the epidemiology of Breast Cancer. She is a native of Chicago and returned to earn her medical degree at Rush Medical College.
Dr. Ko received and completed specialty training in Radiation Oncology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, City of Hope National Medical Center, and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in 2006. She received specialized training in Low Dose Rate and High Dose Rate brachytherapy of gynecologic and prostate cancers at these institutions, as well as training in permanent prostate seed implants at the Seattle Prostate Institute. Prior to joining Cancer Care Consultants Medical Associates, she worked in underserved areas of California, Indiana, and Michigan, including Wayne State University in Detroit.
Dr. Ko is currently practicing at Good Samaritan in Los Angeles, Northridge Hospital Medical Center, and Citrus Valley Medical Center in Covina, CA. She treats a broad range of cancers with special interest in breast, gynecologic, prostate, lung, head & neck and gastric cancers. She has been asked to give many conference presentations on these topics, as well as esophageal cancers, lymphoma, and palliative care. Dr. Ko has published research on neoplastic transformation. Her areas of expertise include IMRT, Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and CT/MRI/PET Fusion Technology.
