The radiation oncology department at Los Alamitos Medical Center, under the guidance of co-medical directors, Dr. Michael L. Steinberg and Dr. Robert S. Kwon, provides diagnostic and treatment services for patients battling many types of cancer, including: breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, and rectal cancer. • High Dose Rate Brachytherapy
• Breast MammoSite Brachytherapy
• Systemic Targeted Radionuclide Therapy(STaRT) Iodine-131 for thyroid cancer
